(I Was an) Intern at Spin

from New England Music (1996) by Thunderegg

lyrics

I was an intern at Spin, I was the lowest form of life there is.

I made coffees and copies for Bobby G., and sorted his mail and picked up his sushi. The only time I made a single red cent was when I cleaned out the basement.

I spent an hour picking out a birthday card for Bob to give to his friend. He didn’t like the one I worked so hard to find and sent me back to the gift shop again.

When I was working there, there was a hot redhead who gradually became Bob’s friend. Which meant he didn’t pay much attention to me as I trimmed him of his promo CDs.
